Benefit Support

Navigating the benefits system can feel overwhelming — we're here to help.

Living with a brain injury often brings unexpected challenges, including changes to income, work, and daily living. At our charity, we provide free, compassionate support to help you access the benefits and financial support you're entitled to.

What We Can Help With

We support individuals with acquired brain injuries in Derbyshire and East Staffordshire with a wide range of benefits-related issues, including:

  • Understanding which benefits you may be eligible for

  • Completing and submitting application forms

  • Support with PIP (Personal Independence Payment), ESA (Employment and Support Allowance), Universal Credit, and other claims

  • Help with mandatory reconsiderations and appeals

  • Signposting to specialist advice when needed

We know that every person’s situation is different, and we’ll work with you at your pace, in a way that works best for you.

How We Provide Support

You can get help from us:

  • Over the phone – for advice, guidance, or support with paperwork

  • In person – by appointment at one of our local hubs or outreach locations

  • With a trusted supporter – we’re happy to involve family members or carers if helpful
