Support
Each individual brings their own unique qualities and should be supported in their in their work to achieve the organisation’s vision. People should be kind to one another and take care of others in the network, helping where they can within the available resources.
Creative Solutions
Each situation is unique and the environment in which we work is an everchanging landscape. Therefore, in order to be effective in our aims, we need to adapt to changes. By having a proactive solution-focussed attitude to challenges enables Headway Derby to work as a team to find practical and helpful solutions.
Positivity
Headway Derby supports people often at a time of stress or through demanding life events. Therefore, it is essential to maintain a constructive, positive and proactive outlook. Maintaining positivity supports others when in difficulty and creates an effective culture where people feel safe to share, contribute and grow.
Community & Connection
Headway Derby aims to both create an effective supportive community for people to feel safe and flourish post-injury. Headway Derby also has a role in reaching out to the broader local community to help educate others on brain injury and its impact. We also wish to have a positive impact on our local community more generally and value partnership working with individuals and other agencies.
